ACCUCOM
- IT Solutions Enterprise Support
Insuring a stabile
computing environment starts with the users perception and experience
at the desktop. Our clients enjoy a consistent environment due
to desktop standardization , from operating system to applications
we are adamant about the need for this practice to provide reliable
results on a daily basis. This practice of standardization minimizes
support calls and allows the user to perform the tasks they were
hired to accomplish. In many cases we have been required by some
clients to prevent end user intervention with the workstation
(referred to as locked down) which can further reduce the requirement
for support, as software and services can only be added by the
administrator.
At the enterprise level it has been possible to create a mirror
image of a workstation and profile and then reproduce this image
on many workstations cutting installation and configuration consulting
to a fraction of conventional installations. This allows for more
efficient deployment of software "roll-outs" and also
provides a means for re-building a computer should the software
or services become corrupt.
While Accucom can provide several methods for minimizing support
time , there is still a very real need for support on demand.
Our 13 plus years in business and our team of 25 qualified employees
allow us to reply to any situation at any time. With several employees
manning a support desk at our offices we are able to either remotely
support clients , using remote client software or visit their
offices to further troubleshoot and solve the users ' computing
issues. In our site visits our consultants often identify client
needs and are able to prescribe further training or software to
accomplish a certain task. Our staff is constantly enrolled in
an incentive based program to augment their skills and update
their certifications which provides them with the knowledge to
advise clients on their IT decisions.

HP Lessons Hurd: 10 Things the CEO`s Departure Has Taught Us About HP
With HP formidable CEO Mark Hurd out at HP and no replacement in sight, its quickly becoming clear that the venerable company is in desperate need of direction. Although its still churning out profits for its shareholders, there is little debating that things would be better if a strong leader was back at HPs helm. Hurd made a name for himself as one of the strongest and channel-centric CEOs the company has ever had. He made a point of regularly meeting with end-user customer companies at channel partner-hosted events. And he made bold aggressive moves to keep HP in the dominant position where it is, including acquisitions of EDS, 3Com and Palm. Regardless, Hurd is gone. And so far, HP has taught the tech world quite a bit about the company since he left. Many of the lessons are negative ones that the next CEO will need to address. But they are valuable lessons nonetheless.
